Get ready for a Broadway sensation! The iconic Jinkx Monsoon is back, and this time, she's bringing her unique charm to the Lyceum Theatre.
Monsoon, the Broadway Leading Lady, is set to reprise her role as 'Mary Todd Lincoln' in the critically acclaimed show, 'Oh, Mary!' starting January 8, 2026. This marks her return to the historic Lyceum Theatre for a limited engagement of 30 performances, ending on February 1, 2026.
But here's where it gets controversial... Monsoon reveals, "I was plotting my return even before my first run was over." Normally, she prefers a break before an encore, but this show is different. It's a passion project, a collaboration with some truly talented friends, and a role that has left a lasting impact on the theater world.
"Mary is a role that will live on," Monsoon says. "I've met young actors who dream of playing Mary one day. There's no way I'm not coming back to this show as often as I can!"
As previously announced, the talented Jane Krakowski, a Tony, Olivier, and Critics' Choice Award winner, will perform her final show on January 4, 2026. The role of 'Mary Todd Lincoln' will then be taken over by Hannah Solow on January 6 and 7, 2026.
Monsoon originally joined the Broadway production in August 2025 for an eight-week stint, and you can check out photos from her original run to get a glimpse of the magic she brings to the stage.
She will be joined by an incredible cast, including Grammy and Emmy nominee Cheyenne Jackson as 'Mary's Teacher' and Tony nominee John-Andrew Morrison as 'Mary's Husband.' Both Jackson and Morrison are extending their engagements, with Jackson performing through January 25, 2026, and Morrison through February 1, 2026. Additionally, current cast members Jenn Harris and original cast member Tony Macht will also be extending their runs until February 1, 2026.
'Oh, Mary!' is a special show, written by the 2025 Tony Award winner Cole Escola and directed by another Tony Award winner, Sam Pinkleton. It opened on Broadway on July 11, 2024, at the Lyceum Theatre and made history by becoming the first show in the theater's 121-year history to gross over $1,000,000 in a single week. Since then, it has broken its own box office record twelve times and became the first show of the 2024-25 Broadway season to recoup its investment.
